"Thank a Service Member"

Our flag flies for freedom,
and they fight for me and you.
So Thank a Service Member,
for all the things they do.

They are a band of brothers,
you will never pull apart.
Because they have a special bond,
that grows right from the start.

They all fight for our country,
or help others when in need.
They show that they're not selfish,
and they are not full of greed.

Taking pride in what they do,
because there is no other way.
So Thank a Service Member,
When you see them every day!

"A United States Marine"

You take a real young man,
put him in a uniform.
Give that boy a gun,
and watch him start to form.

You give him weeks of training,
when you think he has it right.
Then you send him far away,
to a place for him to fight.

He watched his friends get killed,
there are no greater fears.
There is nothing he can do,
but cry those lonely tears.

All you can do is move ahead,
try to keep yourself alive.
Think about when you get home,
is what gives you your thrive.

And now that it's all over,
and the worst you ever seen.
You would do it all again,
You're a United States Marine.

"Thanks"

To all our men and woman
From the rich to wearing rags
The ones who fight for freedom,
And honor our great flag.

God bless you and we thank you,
where ever you may roam.
At night I say a prayer for you,
so you all will make it home.

At times it gets real lonely,
I know how scared you get.
For I have served my country,
I am a Viet Nam vet.

May god travel with you,
and keep you safe in ranks.
I will send you all a prayer,
along with all my thanks.

Please send them a letter,
I know it helps them through.
They do it for our country,
The Red, the White, and the Blue.
